BREAKING NEWS!

As of Monday, September 26th, 2011 - I am now officially the adjunct instructor for Massage Therapy at Anthem College. I'm so thankful to be part of such a great team. I cant wait to get started. I know that this new journey and chapter in my life will be the hardest thing I have done in a long time. but I am more than ready!

I am very excited to share with these prospective students how wonderful the Massage Therapy world is.  I am thrilled to share my stories and techniques that I have learned through out the years.

A note to all New Massage Therapy students:
This journey of Massage Therapy that you are going to embark on is a very hard road. I will be the first to tell you. You will learn more about yourself that you could ever imagine. You will find out things that you truly enjoy about the field and things that you could do without. Every person has their niche in Massage therapy. I found that my niche is deep tissue/ therapeutic work. My wish for you is that you learn as much as possible during your time in school. Keep all of your books and notes (you will definitely need it in the future.) Yes. I will admit you are in this field because you are caring, motivated, willing to do many things for your clients but I will tell you that your shell may become hardened a little bit from some clients that will take advantage of you. Be strong! know your limits, and remember your scope of practice.
We are here to take care of our clients and give them the best massage therapy session we are capable of. If you have to refer a client out, its OK, clients trust us. Our Clients trust our judgement. We have to use the best knowledge we have and do whatever we can for those clients. Im so very excited to share this field with you and other massage therapists out there. This is not easy. It will probably be the hardest thing you have ever done. but also the MOST rewarding accomplishment in your life. Good luck with your endeavors in your new career. I send all of the positive energy in the universe to each and everyone of you.
Many blessings, Meg
